❓Why
It was an idea that came and I asked to myself if it resonate with me and I could not find anything that could reflect more my Why and my Just cause, so I kept evolving the idea.
The adventure scores in all the important aspects that drives me; social fitness
, physical fitness
and mental fitness

👥 Social fitness
It connected me with:
- friends who supported me during the event
- people in-situ the day of the event who engaged with us
- people who donated before and after the event while the event was spread
- Grächen staff who made things incredibly easy and supported us spreading the event
- connections which wrote me to ask me about the event and express their curiosity
- and of course it further connected me with Lola
💪 Physical fitness
It was by far my longest skimo adventure and in addition that elevated more meters within 24h. It challenged my legs, but far more my upper-body which is not get used to this effort
🧠 Mental fitness
Night brought my mental fitness to the limit. I felt extremely sleepy 😴 and my thinking capacity was fairly decreased… I was too warm going up making my jackets fully wet and then feeling cold going down.
Friends and daylight teach me that after big downs, big ups can come again and make you forget the struggle. I finished the event with energy and managed to keep awake with the hype until 10pm when finally I could do a regular night sleep.
It was a rollercoaster of feelings, but there is nothing more rewarding that doing something that push your feelings with a cause identify yourself.
