About 4 weeks ago Ivan told me about this race, in pairs, in the Dolomites, self-supported, 380k, 10.000m+ elevation and it took me about 10 seconds to say, sounds cool, let's go for it 🤭.

2 weeks ago we did a simulation of half of the elevation and riding in the night and went well, so we felt quite ready and that we could manage.

For the race, we travelled to Sarmede, the starting point of the race, on Thursday to make it on time for the mandatory briefing at 6pm. After, we eat 🍝 sleep 😴, eat 🍕 sleep 😴 until the race started on Friday, 3rd at 9pm.

Weather forecast improved a lot and it looked we were going to be mostly dry and had a bit colder temperatures than de 30°C of the last days.

At 9:27 pm we were called to the podium and after 3 min presentation and motivating music we were set to go through a nice night.

After about 20 kms in the flats we arrived to the start of the first pass under almost a full moon 🌕 which making the night much lighter .

Passo San Boldo. Uuuuuoou! That was our words with the moon and with the tunnels, that were going inside the mountain doing a ↪ switch back ↩ after another switch back.
